This is a really exciting and excellent opportunity to join a very pro-active and busy HR function based at the heart of the Baxters Food Group, situated at our main manufacturing facility in Fochabers, North East Scotland.


The Role:   This is a key role within the HR team, working in partnership with HR colleagues and business leaders to provide professional customer focussed HR advice/coaching solutions that support the business across all workforce issues and strategic HR projects.


The role has a broad generalist HR operational remit, with a specific focus on Training and Development. In particular, key involvement on all aspects of Employee Relations, working with employee representative groups, advising people managers in performance management, good people management and compliance with HR legislation and our company's policies and procedures. Responsibility for managing relationships between the HR function and line managers in order to deliver business focussed solutions that meet the needs of the business is vital in the role. You will be expected to develop and provide appropriate metrics and reports that inform the business and that drive the right behaviours.  There will also be opportunity to lead, manage and participate in an array of project based assignments and HR initiatives.


The Person:  If we have sufficiently gained your interest and attention, we are seeking an individual with a sound track record of results orientated generalist HR experience, some at managerial level as well as good learning and development expertise. You will have proven experience in all areas of employee relations, up to date employment legislation, creation and implementation of HR policies and procedures and good working knowledge of HR systems. Knowledge and exposure to job evaluation/job grading initiatives would be a distinct advantage. Ideally this experience will have been gained working with FMCG, preferably multi-site and with experience of re-structuring and reorganisation within the business.  Graduate or Corporate MCIPD, you will be a highly self-motivated individual, be a powerful communicator, both oral and written, and be famous for your impactful interpersonal skills, which enable you to influence and persuade at all levels. Well developed facilitation skills and confidence in dealing with complex and sensitive case management issues, is a must. There will be occasional travel required to other Baxters sites which could involve overnight stays
